Localization Workflow

The localization process follows a standard workflow that consists of the following steps:

1. Project initiation:
   The localization manager receives the request for localization from the stakeholder and initiates the project.
2. Project analysis:
   The localization manager analyzes the scope, requirements, and specifications of the project and prepares a project plan.
3. Project preparation:
   The localization engineer prepares the files and resources for localization and sets up the localization tools and technologies.
4. Project execution:
   The localization specialist performs the localization tasks, such as translation, editing, and proofreading, using the localization tools and technologies.
5. Project delivery:
   The localization engineer delivers the localized files and resources to the stakeholder and obtains feedback and approval.
6. Project closure:
   The localization manager closes the project and evaluates the performance and satisfaction of the team and the stakeholder.
   

The localization team uses various tools and technologies to facilitate the localization process, such as:

• Translation management system (TMS): A software platform that automates and streamlines the localization workflow, such as project management, file handling, and quality control.
• Computer-assisted translation (CAT) tool: A software application that assists the localization specialist in the localization tasks, such as translation memory, terminology database, and spell checker.
• Machine translation (MT) tool: A software application that uses artificial intelligence to generate translations automatically or semi-automatically.
• Localization testing tool: A software application that verifies the functionality, usability, and compatibility of the localized product or service.
